Recruitment Process
A separate application is required for each position you are applying for. Applications must be thoroughly completed, incomplete or illegible applications will be rejected. All information on the application is subject to investigation and verification. Resumes may be attached, but will not be accepted in lieu of a city application form. Application
Application packets may be requested in person, by calling 209-863-7125, by email, or you can download an Employment Application.
All required material must be received in the Personnel Office by 5 p.m. on the final filing date. Postmarks or faxes will not be accepted.
Medical Exam
Individuals selected for employment will be required to take a medical exam, which includes drug screening. The medical examination is at the City's expense and conducted by a physician designated by the City. Applicants who are offered the position will be fingerprinted during the processing period and verified with the Department of Justice.
