River Walk

PROJECT LOCATION: The proposed Project is located in the unincorporated area of Stanislaus County and adjacent to the City of Riverbank, north of Patterson Road/State Route (SR) 108, east of McHenry Avenue, and approximately two miles northwest of downtown Riverbank. 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The proposed Project is the expansion of the Riverbank Sphere of Influence by approximately 1,522 acres, adoption of a Specific Plan, annexation of approximately 933 acres into the Riverbank City limits, extension of infrastructure to the annexed area to serve development, and the subsequent development of the annexed area for: Low Density Residential, Medium Density Residential, High Density Residential, Mixed-Use, and Parks/Recreation, including all infrastructure and utilities necessary to service the development.

The Specific Plan includes development of up to 2,250 residential dwelling unit, a portion of which are active adult. The Specific Plan also includes development of approximately 71 acres of mixed use for the development in six specific areas offering neighborhood-scale retail uses, offices, personal and commercial services, with opportunities for higher-density residential development in a vertical or horizontal mixed-use setting. The Specific Plan also includes development of Park, Buffer, Greenway, and Open Space uses.

PUBLIC REVIEW PERIOD: A 30-day public review period for the Notice of Preparation (NOP) was posted and comments were allowed between June 4, 2021 and end on July 5, 2021. Any written comments on the NOP were to be mailed to the City of Riverbank, Attn: Donna Kenney, 6707 3rd Street, Riverbank, CA 95367, within the public review period. Alternatively, comments were allowed for email to: dkenney@riverbank.org or provide your comments at the scoping meeting. Alternatively, hard copies were made available for review at the City of Riverbank City Hall at 6707 3rd Street, Riverbank, California 95367 after June 16, 2021.
