Riverbank Launches HERO PACE Program to Help Homeowner Conserve Water and Energy
In an effort to combat the drought and help residents reduce energy use, the City of Riverbank officially launched the HERO (Home Energy Renovation Opportunity) PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) Program in November 2014. This program enables homeowners and commercial property owners to pay off energy- and water-efficiency improvements through their property tax bill.
HERO offers low-fixed interest rates and flexible payment terms of up to 20 years, with repayments made through your property taxes. You can use HERO to finance energy efficient projects that can increase your property value, lower your monthly utility bills, make you more comfortable in your come and contribute to making your community more energy independent.
A wide variety of energy- and water-saving products are available through the HERO Program, including:
Whole-home heating and cooling (HVAC) systems
Solar Power Panel Installation
Energy-saving windows, skylights and doors
Roofing and Insulation
High-efficiency toilet, faucet, and showerhead installations
