About the Treatment Plant
The City operates the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to treat and dispose of the wastewater (sewage) collected from within the city. The Treatment Plant is located north of Riverbank across the Stanislaus River and borders the north side of Jacob Myers Park.
The WWTP has 1 Supervisor and 2 Maintenance Workers. The plant consists of 8 percolation-evaporation basins and 2 aeration treatment ponds. An average of 1.6 million gallons of wastewater is treated per day.
